This " woody peony " of Chinese origin is an extraordinary species. See Hong D Y,  only very few specimens are left in the natural habitat and thus it is on the verge of extinction.

It  is a low shrub, average 30- to 50 cm with rose to almost white flowers above rusty brown emerging foliage. All offered plants are seed propagated from EU- origin mother plants, see picture. According to our experience, this is a  hardier plant compared to other woody peonies.
