Easiest and one of the most beautiful Cypripediums. Native of Canada and US, big clumbs provide a spectacular botanical view.

Soil mixes coarse sand or  pumice gravel or Seramis,  and up to 10 % good ornamental soil mix. Cover surface with hardwood leaves or moss to keep it moist and cool.  Add some new soil on top yearly.

Ferns, especially Osmunda regalis, are ideal for support and protection.

Bright morning sun until noon does best.
