Sister species of Cyp. formosanum, far more difficult to grow.  Requires more or less same growing conditions, but it takes  years to establish. It can remain underground for a whole growing season, and then suddenly produces a flowershoot. Transplanted shootless rhizoms of formosanum do the same.

Only for Atlantic area, very long growing season.
